A spark-free booster for ice-machine water purification.
An ice-maker water pump in this context is the booster on the purification or feed-water side of the machine, not the refrigerant compressor. PEILI PL-605-1200WS is a brushless, variable-speed diaphragm pump: AC 115 V / 230 V, ≥ 4.8 L/min, outlet max 150 psi, BMC-encapsulated stator, no carbon brushes and no spark. R600 (isobutane) refrigerant is flammable. A brushed commutator sparks; this motor does not.

Why brushless next to R600
Commercial and residential ice machines that use R600 keep a flammable hydrocarbon charge in the refrigeration loop. The PEILI 605 is specified for the water circuit that feeds or purifies that machine — ice-machine water purification — not as a refrigerant pump. The safety claim is narrow and published: no carbon-brush contact, so no spark at the motor. That is the difference versus a conventional brushed RO-style booster sitting in the same cabinet.
- No carbon brushes, no commutator spark.
- Magnetic isolation sleeve; motor-side sealing concept to IP68.
- Speed, flow and pressure adjustable from the driver if the ice machine’s water system needs more than one operating point.
- Same 605 pump head as PEILI’s RO family, so brackets and ports can follow an existing water layout.
Rated data on PL-605-1200WS
- Model: PL-605-1200WS, BMC brushless variable-speed diaphragm pump
- Voltage: AC 115 V / 230 V; driver kits also take a DC 24 V / 36 V bus
- Rated flow: ≥ 4.8 L/min; flow range 2.5–7.5 L/min at 100 psi
- Outlet max: 150 psi (~10.3 bar / 1.03 MPa)
- Rated point: inlet 30 psi / outlet 100 psi, 1,300 r/min
- Power ≤ 120 W, current ≤ 0.9 A
- Pump head: 605-family diaphragm head
- Motor: BMC-encapsulated stator, magnetic isolation, no carbon brushes, no spark
Factory tests that still apply
The ice-maker water circuit still sees pressure spikes when valves close. The Jiangmen stand bursts the wet end at 3.5 MPa and runs 1.2 MPa water hammer for 120,000 cycles. Outlet max on the nameplate remains 150 psi.
- Type-test burst: passed 3.5 MPa (~35 bar / 508 psi). That is not the working pressure.
- Water hammer: 1.2 MPa for 120,000 cycles, then leak, flow and pressure re-checked.
- Life / endurance run under load on the Jiangmen comprehensive stand.
- Every serial unit still goes through nine outgoing benches: air tightness, mechanical properties, flame retardance, flow, noise, pressure, load, hot/cold, material reliability.
Can a PEILI brushless pump be used in an ice maker with R600?
It is published for ice-machine water purification. R600 is flammable; the brushless motor has no carbon brushes and no spark. The pump is a water diaphragm booster (PL-605-1200WS), not a refrigerant compressor or a hydrocarbon-loop pump.
What are the electrical ratings for the ice-maker water pump?
PL-605-1200WS is rated AC 115 V / 230 V, current ≤ 0.9 A, power ≤ 120 W. Driver kits also take DC 24 V / 36 V bus input.
Does spark-free mean the pump is ATEX certified?
No ATEX or explosion-proof certificate is published on this site. The published fact is mechanical: no carbon-brush contact, so no commutator spark. Qualify the cabinet to the ice-machine standard you ship.
